FOR MAX REPS:

Death by Clean and Jerk @ 135/95lbs

We will do this one outside on the large sidewalk between the Vince and the new building. Don’t be afraid to drop the weight… but beware, it will bounce rather high. If you do this wod in the gym, do not drop the weights.

A classic ‘death by’ wod, this one runs the same as the others:
With a continuously running clock, perform 1 c&j at the start of the 1st minute, 2 c&j’s at the start of the second minute, 3 c&j’s on the start of the third minute, and so on until you can not complete the required number of reps for that minute (still get as many as you can).

One thing you need to be aware of!! -> When you are near your final minute, you may find yourself completing the last rep of a round with only a few seconds left in the minute. THAT IS NOT THE END OF THE WOD!! Keep moving right into the next minute to get as many reps as you can before that minute is out.

If the Rx’ed weight is too much for you to make it past 5 minutes (rep scheme would look like 1-2-3-4-5),  go with less weight from the start. Aim for 7 rounds or more.

400 meter run
95 pound Overhead squat, 15 reps

    Wish I had 95 pounds to do the HQ WOD too.

    with doing the clean and jerks first all week, i’ve made them all but missed some snatches. I think whichever lift i hit first is going to be the best just due to strength lost in the pull. next week snatches will be first though… starting saturday
