Saturday 28 August – Rest day


Saturday is upon us once again! Today is day one of the CrossFit Gymnastics Certification held at CrossFit Tampa aka “The Next Level”. This gym has a fairly large footprint in the Tampa area. They sponsor a lot of fitness and race events, as well as conducting morning PT every Thursday at Andy’s last unit, JCSE. Unlike the level 1 cert, I won’t promise any pictures… but if my hands get torn up pretty bad I’ll post pictures of them :)

21-18-15-12-9-6 and 3 rep rounds of:
Sumo deadlift high-pull, 75 pounds
Push jerk, 75 pounds

    Tried the CrossFit HQ WOD today at the gym… not for time, though… hey, it’s the weekend; I leave my watch at home! Still, it was tough enough and I had to lower the weight to 65 lbs pretty quickly!

    Took a body fat test after my workout, which was after breakfast, so it may be a touch high, but my average for three tests is 9.45.

    Week one of “the zone” down, and I’m currently down 3-4 pounds. Unintended consequence, but I think my body is shedding a little extra fat. I’ll give it another week at the block-4 level and see if I need to adjust up to block-5.
