There will be chalk in the Da Vince Gym during the lunchtime session for this wod. The chalk will help keep your hands dry so the pullup bar and kettlebell handle don’t become slippery.

Gymnastics chalk, as well as most various hand chalk, is made from magnesium carbonate. Here’s some trivia on MgCO3 from wiki.answers.com:

*Question: Can people eat basic magnesium carbonate gym chalk?

Answer: Yes, people can eat basic magnesium gym chalk. It would be a good idea to be near a toilet when you do. Magnesium carbonate works as a laxative and antacid. While it is not advisable to eat chalk, in this case it can be done.*

HA! So definitely wash all the chalk off your hands before you handle food!! That probably explains why TUMS taste chalky… it’s made of pressed calcium carbonate. Is anyone else thinking about Han Solo right now? …but that was carbonITE  :)

    24:13 with 53lb KB and 24″ box

    After yesterdays deadlifts, i could barely even pick up the kettlebell in the 4th and 5th round. it was pretty sorry!
